totems on rag

I posted this in wow suggestion forums, go support it!

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...p=1#post601530

Each faction has a unique support class, Palladins for alliance and shamans for horde. These classes are intended to be different but balanced.

Each class should benefit their respective sides equally, if in different ways.

So why is it that on Ragnaros palladins are infinitely more useful than shamans?

Palladins are able to use both their auras and their blessings against rag with not even a chance of ill effects.
Shamans are unable to use their totems, which are their equivilant to blessings and auras, against Ragnaros. Shamans have all their support abilities taken away due to a simple bug.

Ragnaros targets totems and then "bombs" them. This causes anyone near totems to be launched into the air and take dmg. It is possible to place totems so that they wont hit people, but it gives the chance for a simple use of one of the classes main functions to cause the raid harm.

In short, it is not fair that pallies are able to utilize their support abilities where shaman cannot. Make it so that Ragnaros ignores totems in order to balance this encounter for both factions.

ps: I am not saying that this is necessary for horde raids to beat the encounter, I have beaten Ragnaros with this bug still in place. I am only asking that our support class be able to function as well as the equivilant support class for the other faction.

Re: totems on rag

Dropping totems away from the raid to just serve as targets for bombs seems like a good idea.

Re: totems on rag

especially grounding totems up near the casters...but far away on the near to the inner ring. seems like they would 100% absorb the random shots he takes at casters.

Re: totems on rag

Most of the dps healers who are on the outer ring are as close to the edge as possible so I am not sure I understand where you want the grounding totems to be palced.

Re: totems on rag

Totems can be dropped within close proximity of Rag and they won't get bombed..
Just ask the group 8 that was there on Sunday 11/12 ;D
