BWL and beyond
I was reading a forum over on Something Awful explaining all of the BWL fights and pulls, and started thinking to myself about if this guild would be able to do these fights. While I do believe that about 50-60% of this guild is capable of the coordination and attention needed for a lot of the fights, I don't see it for the rest of the guild. So, my question is what does everyone else think about this guild's ability as a whole and do you see us being able to take BWL with our current members? If not, what should we do?
I personally think that trying to pick up Jurri, Dorror, Hororsoul and those guys who were thinking about leaving ToS might be a good step in the right direction... Other than that we may have to hurt some feelings down the road if we're seriously considering taking some of these harder fights and drop people like Serg/Ravius/tamer/DC/Nevinyrrall/Slapshot because they just won't learn to be on the ball and use their skills effectivly when appropriate or control their agro. And, it may be that some day down the road we may actually need to require some raiding specs. I personally would really like to do BWL, because I really want to kill Nefarion in the next few months, but I just don't see us doing it with the current personel and make up of Hammered. |

Re: BWL and beyond
I see us having a good shot, were it not for the supression room. To clear that room we will need undivided attention from our people 45minutes at a time.
I think if we make that clear up front, and tell them that they will die a horrible whelpling death if they go AFK then we might have a chance. Maybe. |

Re: BWL and beyond
after our initial razorgore performance, I'd say we have a good chance. our crew's first run through MC was practically flawless, imo our biggest problem is people beating things and then going "oh, I don't need to pay attention now." it seems like everyone is on the ball for the new stuff, but barely there for old content.

Actually Bishan I think we're getting a bit better about that, just not as fast as I'd like to see.
Point to note : Stug lived through Lucifron :p |

Re: BWL and beyond
honestly, I think besides attn span, our biggest problem is intelligent healing. Scurn normally clocks in at 20% of the raid's healing...this cant fly in BWL. Rot Kevv and Damien all have around 14%, which is about where everyone should be...this includes times when we have lots of healers. Some of our priests don't heal as much, granted it's all about who's luckiest in terms of getting cut off or not, we should still work out something.

Re: BWL and beyond
half our casters dont do shit past whats in their party. im pretty tired of having to hope i get in a group with scurn/ot/kevv/etc just so i know ill be alive at the end of the fight. ive already been noticing whos been slackin off for the longest time. im aware we're a guildof friends who raids now, but i cant stand suckin in raids cause everyones bein too buddy-buddy. its fine sometimes, but gd.
although in defense of our guild, in a way to speak, a lot of people are still severely undergeared to be able to compete with the experienced raiders. just to throw this out there too, i fucking hate brangwin so much. ill post more about it in her thread i guess. |
