Warlock DKP
So I just noticed that nobody ever did Warlock DKP, so here's my attempt. It hasn't been approved by any other warlocks, so don't make it official until at least Becho makes fun of it.
Stam = 10 hp ~ 10-13 mp (1 pt) Int = 15 mp (but doesn't go the other way) (.75 pt) Spirit = teh suck for Warlock (.15 pt) The rest of these calculations are based upon the following ideas: 1 shadow bolt, at 370 mana, is roughly worth 475 damage. People have ~50-200 spell damage added, so about 575 base. Add ~10% based upon build ~625 damage. Crit % is roughly 7% base, from estimates I've read about various places (5% + 1% per 100 int) and each crit adds 50-100% for the hit, so 5% damage increase from crits is about average => ~650 damage per shadow bolt. This is 650/370 = 1.75 dpm, basically. This means one int is about 26 damage over the course of the mana pool. In a raid, mana pools will be ~4-6k mp, so that means about 13 bolts before lifetapping, which means each spell damage point is about 13 damage over the course of the mana pool, but this damage is delivered faster than the damage from int. Plus, people just like big damage numbers. Thus: +1 spell damage (.7 pt) (which is slightly lower than an Int, but not much) +1% crit is about .5-1% increase in damage, which will be about 65 damage over the pool, which is equivalent to about 4 spell damage. This is weighted slightly up because crits are important for pvp, so (3 pt) FR isn't as cool as spell damage, but you can usually get about 1:1 ratio on comparable items, and having good FR gear with other stats prevents using gimped FR gear. Thus FR (.6 pt) If the average "fight" is 4 min (either a boss fight or a rationed mana pool), 1 hp per 5 sec = 12 * 4 = 48 hp. This is about 4-5 stam, but it's over time, so (3.5 pt) This gives the following values for Felheart: Belt: 52.35 Bracers: 39.35 Gloves: 43.95 Horns: 70.1 (!) Pants: 63 Robes: 61.9 Shoulder Pads: 45.1 Slippers: 43.4 The sum is 419.15 ~ 420, so I just tidy the numbers to get: Belt: 52 Bracers: 40 Gloves: 44 Horns: 70 Pants: 63 Robes: 62 Shoulder Pads: 45 Slippers: 44 Sum is 420 :-) Edit: Since the Jihad Skullcap is relatively accessible, one could argue that robes should be more than horns, but everybody also loves void more than felheart for robes, usually, so I stand by my decision. |

Re: Warlock DKP
And for the record, I did tier 2 by the same formula. Yes, I am aware that I ignore non F Resistances, but I don't care right now. The tier 2 wound up a whopping 49 points more than tier 1 (hmmm, that seems bizarre...), so I scaled it up to get to the 600 that Stug suggests in his post on tier 2s by multiplying by a constant.
Unscaled: Nemesis Belt 45.4 Boots 55.75 Bracers 40.65 Robes 70.6 Leggings 68.9 Gloves 52.25 Skullcap 71.8 Spaulders 63.25 Normalized to 600: Belt 58 Boots 71 Bracers 52 Robes 90 Leggings 88 Gloves 67 Skullcap 92 Spaulders 81 Surprisingly even distribution, I think. Once more, the robes below the hat is mildly surprising, but whateva. Edit: Also, I notice that horns are a whopping 2 points behind skullcap. Hmmm... |

Re: Warlock DKP
awesome job shaidar,
just a quick note: before you normalized T2 to 600, it summed to 468.6, a whoping 11.6% increase. That's actually quite a bit more. Thanks. |

Re: Warlock DKP
Yeah, I say we call it a 10% increase and normalize to that. Then we shamans, with our 26% increase, win the internet.

Re: Warlock DKP
actually, i say we renormalize the T2 sets to 500, which is a 19% increase. Since we can't even do BWL right now, it's not like it will keep people from getting T1...
